el libro, la pluma, mera din, meri kitaab, meri kalam

One exciting thing I learnt is that in Spanish, things have gender. This changes words around them. This is true of Hindi as well. For instance, My Day translates to mera din (sorry about the script). My pen translates to meri kalam. Din (day) is masculine in Hindi and kalam (pen) is feminine. I wonder what other languages have this special property.
