"What's in a name?"

- which means fear of long words, is the title of one of the poems by Aimee Nezhukumatathil. I was named after my paternal Grandma. Given that my first name has 11 letters and my last name has 13, hardly anyone calls me by either one. For 24 years, my age was less than the number of letters in my name. got-hand-eh-ram-aan - Sounds familiar! Once a package from a co-worker came to me with my first name on it as 'I'm a pony'. Microsoft Word always tags my name in red. Even it must have the phobia.

At least my passport has my entire name (phew!).

But when my name started appearing with my poems with the incorrect spelling over and over, I decided to use a pen name.
